Is this chair the light beige option?

The chair comes in light beige or gray. The chair in this pic looks quite light. Is it the light beige?

I don't think this chair is still available. It is by NurseryWorks and was the oatmeal colour.

Have you got samples of all the finishes and put them together on a board? The combination of high gloss white, grey granite and stainless steel sounds great. From your description the grey tiles sound better than the the beige ones, both because there will be a bit of contrast between the units and the floor and because they will be in the same "cool neutral" palette. I don't think dark tiles would necessarily be a problem if the walls were white or a light colour. As there is some gloss to the tiles they will reflect some light. It also depends on how much light is coming into the room.

How about some wallpaper in the hall? Ours is a long dark hallway and we have used wallpaper on one wall which makes it a much more interesting space, we've had so many compliments on it. I also added a couple of plaster corbels as ours is a Victorian house and I wanted to put some features back. I plan to have a runner on the stairs and a photo wall going up the stairs but I haven't got that far yet!

Hi Sheron, Kitchen is looking great - is it just just behind the hob you were looking to do? Couple of ideas: 1) could get a piece of clear glass cut to suit and screw in place (with rubber grommets to protect glass) - you can then use it like a picture frame and put photos/maps/postcards etc behind it - and change whenever you want 2) I'm still stalling on what to do with our hob splash back, so I've painted that section of the wall in matching paint, but in an eggshell finish. This means it's wipe-down and keeps the room quite minimal whilst I decide - but I might keep it this way! 3) tiles always look great and are very durable - I'd always recommend getting lots of samples before committing to any of them though 4) you could get a slab of the same worktop material to run up the wall? Re: the stools - whilst not very modern looking, they look fairly robust and reliable - so you could always investigate keeping these and painting these in your chosen feature colour?

I must admit everything looks greige/taupe on my screen :) i don't know if this is too bright for you? The cushions are nearly half price from Oka ATM but quite dear still as they're silk. I think a chair would look great in the bay. I can't quite see but do you have stunnning views? If so, I might go for a swivel chair, this was a Dunelm one. I think I'd go for washed linen curtains for a different texture, they can look really elegant (the colour is out in my photoshopped ones!). I agree with E D, I think the wardrobes would look good painted as my half painted effort shows. I think the darker paint in Rinq's photoshop draws the attention from the carpet if you're not keen on the colour but if you wanted a light wall colour I think I'd try slipper satin or skimming stone although it may not differ a lot from what you have (note, I'm not good at colour though!)
