Why do people put wine racks above the refrigerator?

High in a kitchen is a terrible place to store wine especially above the hot refrigerator. I know it looks cool but it really isn't smart unless you want to ruin the wine

Can't really comment on that as we only designed and installed the glazing! Correct wine storage is outside of my area of expertise. It was a very compact kitchen, space for storage may have been the reason. The architect's on the project were HollandGreen.

Hello again and thank you so so much for all your comments and suggestions. I read all of them and I visited our architect today. This is what we came up with. I think it is also what @nmshea recommended. I think this looks much better and is what we wanted. I just want to mention that we live in Cyprus where it's very hot most of the time so we need the big balconies and double doors. Also the small bedroom will be eventually a kids bedroom and not so much of a guest room but it's not that important now. So this is the plan with the last changes made. What do you think? Do you prefer L-shaped sofa or a 3-seater and a 2-seater? Thanks again to everyone who has commented :)

Lights which automatically turn on when I enter a room (especially in the kitchen and in the hallway from the bedroom to the bathroom) and lights inside my wardrobes (especially inside the one in the bedroom: I often get up earlier than my hubby, and it may be still dark outside, and I don't want to wake him up while I'm looking for my stockings).

September and in they all come trying to freeload on my central heating. It's my house, I didn't invite them, so I'm afraid they must die! I used to feel a bit bad about it, but then I thought about how they catch their prey, leave them to slowly die and then eat them and felt completely exonerated of all guilt! They're utterly revolting.
