Need to match the sofa and armchair
Comments (2)Duck egg blue goes well with the existing colours you have there. Or if you're feeling adventurous, perhaps try painting one wall in a rich peacock blue! If blues aren't your thing, maybe an aubergine shade could work. Do you have blinds or curtains? What are they like? In one of my rooms I hung a plain burgundy blind (to coordinate with the patterned wallpaper) with a sheer cheesecloth-style voile gathered at one side. I was surprised how much brighter the room looked after I hung the voile. If you could post a couple of photos, it makes it easier for others to come up with suggestions as they may see something you haven't thought to mention....See MoreHelp matching Leather Sofa
Comments (5)Hi there, Grey is definitely a shade that is getting a lot of attention at the moment, and for good reason - it's a lovely alternative to neutrals that really complements a multitude of homes. If you're worried about grey not working well across all the walls, why not try adding it in other furnishings such as a blind or a rug? Alternatively, as Karen suggests above, a red shade will really play on the warm tones of your tan chairs and create a lovely homely feel. A Roman blind is a pattern could help with this effect too. Best of luck, and looking forward to seeing it when you've done! Zoe...See MoreAdvice on sitting room paint colour and curtains please
Comments (5)First thing that makes the paper too busy is the stuffed room. So declutter. If nowhere else to put it, find a spacious cupboard/drawers. Paint it Yeabridge Green for example. Don't design around a sofa set you don't like. Find some pillows, rug and blankets that go well with the paper and floor. Make yourself a moodboard with curtains and such and then decide. Here are some F&B paint colors that could work well (I've tried them all, would not advise any other). Personally I like the first three on the left. But haven't seen your room (and taste), so no further suggestions.....See MorePaint to match teal sofa set
Comments (4)Personally I would not combine mustard and turquoise. Then again in this room it looks great: Plenty of 'teal sofa' photos on here (https://www.houzz.com/photos/living/query/teal-sofa/nqrwns) but what's your style? What layout does the new room have? North/south facing? Flooring? Just a lounge or dining too? Many things to consider when choosing a color. Mustard looks great with teal in small surfaces, be careful with mustard walls. Perhaps a more toned down color, like below, with mustard accents. Same goes for lime accents and pale olive walls. Or a more dramatic look, with a similar color as the sofa, but darker (and more charcoal to it): Or something bold: Or really soothing:...See MoreKK1000
