The homeowner found these lights while traveling abroad so I'm afraid we do not have the source.

It's difficult to say without knowing what style you like. I personally like a bit of the dramatic in a bathroom, so really dark greys for the walk in shower and maybe floor to ceiling tiles but in panels where the sinks are.As for the mirror, i think that's down to personal choice, but i would have tiles behind the sink. They can mirror the tiles in the walk in shower:- Do you want modern or traditional, either way, go for opulence:-The lighting and mirrors can help with that. Smoked glass shower door instead of clear?? Also helps with privacy for the person in the showerYou may like a more light and airy approach? Do you have an accent colour in mind for the bedroom that you could carry through to the bathroom - turquoise for example. Change the way the tiles are laid, ie Herringbone on a statement wall ( shower )Of course you could go a more standard route with the tiling and have counter tops with back stands and bring excitement in somewhere else. You need to have a good think about what you like. Open and Idea book and start whittling down what you do and don't like. You'll get there in the end!

Guys, please help!! Is it just me so something is still off??..is everything too bland...? Today we have received our rug and some other accessories.. and it seems that cushions and a throw are too much, so will return those...and will use light purple throw. But for some reason I have a feeling that something isn't just right..have I gone completely mad?.. Please let me know what you think of this..! And apologies about the dog, he just loves being in a centre of everything :) thank you!!!!

Personally I think it is easiest when you choose a palate of colours that work with each other. To make this work choose three neutrals to start with. Given how this house was previously decorated it suggests Mum prefers warmer colours. So say you like Dulux paint you look at their site and choose a soft white such as white cotton and a warm neutral such as Egyptian cotton and then another such as Jurassic Stone. Then I would use these as a starting point and use them again and again in different rooms adding accents. So for instance in the lounge you might paint the woodwork and coving in White cotton, the walls and ceiling in Egyptian Cotton and then a punch of colour in one wall such as the chimney breast. In the hallway you might use White Cotton and Jurassic Stone (in small spaces it is sometimes better to have a simpler palate to make it feel less cluttered and bigger.) In a bedroom you could paint walls and woodwork in White cotton but paint a wall for contrast. Then I would be thinking about what accent colour to continue throughout- So if Mum likes green the living room accent wall could be a bold colour like Heathland, but you might choose a more restful green in the bedroom such as Crushed Aloe, and something fresher for the Kitchen such as Spring meadow. I would use the same neutrals again and again and paint colour with restraint. Then of course you layer on more colour with soft furnishings and you might also give furniture a fresh lease of life by painting it - this trick also helps tie picture frames into a scheme.

Hi Jen, I really like the contrast of the white with the darker colour (it’s actually Hague Blue that we went for in the end.) When my budget allows the intention in this room is to replace the curtains with traditional solid shutters. These will be white to match the windows.
