What style of internal coving would suit this property?
Comments (13)Stained glass is original, we added the panelling (B&Q) and all the skirting boards and architraves are new. We chose a very simple ceiling rose for our LVR. Almost everything in my MIL's house is original, she had the fireplaces restored (someone covered the marble surround in her living room in black paint). What is your overall style? What appeals to you? Do you prefer something rather simple or more ornate? Go visit a couple of neighbours and see what they have and how you like it and then decide. Comments (26)Yeah Ooh, that is gorgeous fabric! Are you thinking of using that for the curtains? If yes you'll want to use that where the curtains are drawn to show it to its full glory. Wow, that's beautiful! And Carolins is right about the fretwork against an aubergine accent wall, in the right cream that would be stunning....See MoreThoughts on plantation shutters?

Anyway we ordered ours as DIY shutters which saved us literally ££'s. We have fitted ourselves. But they do offer a fitting service, which still seems a lot cheaper than other companies. Happy days....See MoreF&B black blue vs off black kitchen units
Comments (115)Hello! It’s arrived but is being fitted Monday :0) The colour wasn’t quite what I wanted as although it’s not supposed to have any blue in it, if can look blue in some lights. I don’t mind it looking deep navy but sometimes it looks lighter. Will see when it’s all up though as with the worktop on the island and overhang, it will probably just look more black! Bear in mind the company didn’t use actually F&B paints as they mix their own. Definately advises paying for a test door first as they got the colour totally wrong at first (was bright blue!) and it was hard work getting the manufacturers to check it and do it again. They almost didn’t....See MoreHannah Richter
