Living room layout

Hi,
We're in the process of beginning to think about redecorating our living room. The issue we have is the layout of the room.
We have lived here for two months and have the following thoughts...
1) the three seater is too far from the TV.
2) really we'd like to have a log burner instead of the gas fire. But we also are aware of the nice length we'd get from the long walk
Any suggestions would be fab.

This sort of layout with the TV wall mounted would make conversations easier and make it feel cosier.

It does look tricky! One thing could be to lose that awkward corner with the tables and lamps and instead put in a large corner sofa and coffee table. You could perhaps then lose the need for the other side tables. You could put one of those large lamps with a long curved base behind the sofa

I agree with Sonia, I’d be worried about loss of light, view and garden access. Is this the sort of thing you’re after? Would you consider having a single door from the hall (perhaps moving it too, not sure how accurate the plan is) and having an electric fire on that wall? Is keeping access to the dining room also a must?

Hi Charlotte, personally I'd recommend having your sofas facing each other (parallel), with the TV mounted, of course, if you do choose to have a log burner installed that won't be possible because of the heat. However, see the attached images this could create a nice cosy yet modern design. Cupboard either side of the fire and your TV sat on top at one side.
