love the kitchen cupboard colour

Hi I love the colour of your kitchen and worktop. Please can you tell me what colour are your cabinets and what worktop have you used, it looks a lovely pure white in the photo.

The worktops are a quartz by Okite called bianco absoluto. The furniture is by Schuller and the colour of that door is called indigo blue. It doesn't have a RAL or paint name/brand that you can purchase separately unfortunately. Hope that helps. If you need anything more just ask.

Have you also thought about getting larger tiles - maybe 60 by 60 beige or light grey to compliment the new colours ?? Think about under cabinet lighting as well to add to the brightness on those full days

I love the colour by numbers kitchen! I think it works really well because there are strips of wood between each colour block, as well as the colour choices. It reminds me of school classrooms. Kitchens in adverts from the 1950s were often very garish, clashing with the flooring and walls, and with each other. Baby blue, yellow, mustard, red, white, salmon pink, olive green... all seem to appear. I would pick your favourite(s) and go with them - paint a few scraps of paper and stick them up, so you can imagine them in the light conditions and how they go with your other items. Your kitchen is lovely so far, I'm sure you'll make a good choice!

Hi Sarah, If you are open to it, I suggest painting the doors a soft pink. As you say the worktop and flooring doesn't really need changing and whilst you can re-paint the doors a fresh lick of paint it hasn't really answered your dilemma. If you want to add a bit of warmth, soften the black and cover up marks I'd look into a soft pink something like Calamine or Pink Ground both Farrow & Ball would look lovely. Adding pink will give it a modern edge and I think would work really well against all the black. Sorry this was the best image I could find with black worktops and pink units: I would also change the colour of the walls to a softer creamy pink just so it feels more balanced. I like black and blue, theimage pjdklm posted is lovely. It can be a very dark look so make sure you have enough light in the room. Another option would be to paint the bottom cupboards dark blue and the upper cabinets a light colour. I would definitely try looking at it with an app that lets you try different colours in a photo first.
