Comments (5)Have you also thought about getting larger tiles - maybe 60 by 60 beige or light grey to compliment the new colours ?? Think about under cabinet lighting as well to add to the brightness on those full days...See MoreAntique white kitchen cupboards, what colour skirting boards?
Comments (1)What did you decide to do paulinehenderson? I have a similar dilema - our walls are currently painted white (works well as it's a north-facing room), so I think white skirting might look too bare. Thinking about colour-matching to the Antique White, but not sure the contrast will be enough to work well - maybe a darker colour would be better?...See MoreKitchen Cupboard Colour Help
Comments (4)Hi. I'm not sure if you want to paint the units and island the same or perhaps paint the ŵall units a different colour to blend into the ŵalls? I would go for either a greige or a green to tie the cream and dark grey. F&B elephants breath is nice (can look dark in some rooms depending on the light though). it would also look nice paired with brinjal on the island although I may be tempted to change the worktop then :( Ball green or mizzle by F&B may also work. Little Greene have some lovely colours and would be my preferred paint choice for kitchen cabinets. Kitchen green is nice or maybe normandy green paired with theatre red for the island. Have you considered actually removing the ŵall units depending on how much storage you need and perhaps adding some shelves on the window side as I think it will really open up the space? If you're painting perhaps a change of handles? My personal choice would be just to remove the tiles and use washable paint on the ŵalls. You shouldn't get too many splashes with the upstand unless you're like me with an electric whisk and it depends where you do most of your prep work. It looks as if it will be a great room...See MoreKitchen cupboard colour
Comments (14)I love the colour by numbers kitchen! I think it works really well because there are strips of wood between each colour block, as well as the colour choices. It reminds me of school classrooms. Kitchens in adverts from the 1950s were often very garish, clashing with the flooring and walls, and with each other. Baby blue, yellow, mustard, red, white, salmon pink, olive green... all seem to appear. I would pick your favourite(s) and go with them - paint a few scraps of paper and stick them up, so you can imagine them in the light conditions and how they go with your other items. Your kitchen is lovely so far, I'm sure you'll make a good choice!...See MoreJuliet Docherty
