Not too easy to be accurate without seen some drawings and the info is not quite clear. Happy to assist if you are willing to provide some more info.

You've got a couple of options. Here's what I think is probably the best one. I've assumed your door is next to where the shower is. To save space make sure the hinges of the door are on the right as you look at it, so it opens onto the radiator wall. You'll need a space saving bath that is 70cm wide. If you go for a 1500 x 700mm bath, there will be room for a 60cm sink close to where the sink is now. You could leave the toilet where it is, so that saves messing around with the plumbing too much or turn it so it's where the toilet roll holder is currently. Or you could have a combined sink and toilet unit on one wall, bath on the other. A 1500 x 700mm bath would also fit under the window across the width of the room, that's a bit more plumbing to shift the toilet but can be done. You've got more options than you think. Go to a bath store and get them to draw up some options for free or play around with software on their website.

Hello Richard. It all depends on your budget, style of exterior you like, is the front facing south or north, east or west and the colour schemes and textures... All these will make a different to how you feel about the building and what design to go with. If you have just moved in I would recommend living in it a while to get to know it. Observe it during the day and night. Where there is lots of light you want a veranda or conservatory and then in the garden the fruit trees / shubs. If you use just white it can be very stark and will reflect light so that you will end up permanently wearing sunglasses. If in the north you need some white and or colour and possible more light in the area and adjacent interior room so possibly make the windows bigger. (which is great if you are not overlooked). Do you have a favourite thing, ornament, plant, place, memory of trips that you can base your look on ? Look around to see what other people have done. Some councils may state that you have to keep the from in keeping with the rest of the street you are in, especially if you are in a conservation area. We are so spoilt for choice these days and there are many interesting ideas on Houzz and over sources. Most of all take your time and enjoy finding those ideas as all the changes will eat into even the largest of budgets and are expensive to change. Have fun.

As I suspected, I do not believe you can use the area marked in red unless you raise the roof height. In order to get 4 bedrooms and a bathroom ( or 2 ) out of the roof, you would have to have four dormers. Planning departments often do not like Dormers on the fronts of homes..........but you could try. I stand behind what i said earlier. I would ask the local planning department for a pre-planning meeting. Ask them if they would be likely to grant permission before you go down the route of having plans drawn that may be turned down. It definitely wouldn't be a cheap option, so I don't know what your budget is? It's asking a lot from a roof. You may more easily get 3 beds and 1 bathroom up there to cut down on the build cost and maybe an alternative if the planners say no to the front dormers. They can also be very funny about changing the height of an existing route, so don't be surprised if they say no. I don't say this to be mean, it's more to be realistic and have a Plan B up your sleeve. I'm not sure if you've considered other layouts instead of the bedrooms in the loft. How mobile are the oldies? Perhaps they could have the whole of upstairs and re-configure the ground? That would be a lot easier.

@Wumi thank you taking time out for commenting. Answer to your queries: How do you currently use the your ground floor rooms? BKG: At the moment we spaced out! Meaning - my son normally in the front room ( PS4/football). The three others just sit in a line formation in the lounge. In Lounge we tend to use two seats ( highlighted red for most use and up to blue to very rare use). I think because it feels like we are in a narrow corridor- not a great family experience WD: How would you like to use them? (What would you like to achieve with the reconfiguration) BKG. I think a quote that I saw on this site sums it perfectly; "I like the house but like love it as a home. On paper the house sounds fantastic, but ground floor is not functional in terms of experience. Having a room long and narrow everything we purchase has to be clinical. With narrow long lounge, when we have guests its not functional, at times people seem to stand in in the wall between the lounge and kitchen. Not a great experience I like sitting in a square formation which i feel enhance the interactions. Wider/squarer rooms, I think brings so many options WD: Is there a wall between the kitchen and lounge? BKG: Yes a wall between Kitchen and (through lounge/extension at back). P>s the Kitchen ceilings or of a different height (due to a previse side extension) WD: Where is the front entrance?
