Throw cushions and pillow cases for bed - any ideas or samples?
Comments (7)I think that's called Chartreuse. Difficult to tell as screens show colours differently. I'd recommend our latest blog for a great colour combo and there are some great lights to go with the look too! Here's a link Idea's for decorating your bedroom. Bedding and Lighting If you are in the UK? Why not sign up to our newsletter, you get a FREE home interest magazine every quarter and notified of special discounts and new stuff. It's very good and worth doing for the discount and offers alone. As we are UK only discounts and shipping are only UK. But the magazine will still offer plenty of inspiration. Hope all goes well with the cushion hunt. Caution don't buy to many! Who am I kidding you can't have too many cushions!...See MoreCushions and throw colour?
Comments (9)Sorry - I am the other way. I love the yellow and think its sunny, bright and welcoming. The grey looks kind of flat to me (personally). You could layer a grey over the top to add the variety and break up the yellow. Yellow can be too much to live with on a daily basis which is why it often used in hallways and places we do not spend a great deal of time. As this is removed at night time, I think it adds a great punch to the room and circulates the yellow well through the space but if you already think it is too much maybe listen to your gut. All the best...See MoreLiving room update - advice please
Comments (8)If you just wanted to go for minor changers I think a dark blue wall is a great idea. The key item that will change your living is a large rug. I'll post some ideas in a sec. however, if you really wanted to update it and go for something more dramatic I would paint three of the walls dark blue, then paint the wall with the TV on white. But I wouldn't just leave it with a plain white wall because it can look a bit depressing. The above idea for a long low TV unit is a great idea and also having a focal point will make a big difference. So what about, on the white TV wall putting a pallet section where you would normally expect a chimney breast to go? Then put the TV unit in front of it. Large bright art on the walls either side, large rug with greys, blue and mustard and a couple of massive plants. I would also paint the dark wood dresser grey and keep it on the white wall. Then maybe some brass or copper fittings. You can get battery operated picture t look really good above art and you wouldn't need to pay an electrician. I'll try and post some photos. Abigail Ahern is a good source of inspiration for dark furniture and dark walls....See Morerug / cushions ideas please
Comments (7)Hello Kimmyrb. Bravo on your impulse buy... it's a beautiful piece. I don't think you need much. The sofa should be the star. Maybe a rug (some pattern in it to break up the block colours) and some cushions (same...and to tie in the blue pouffe and your wall which has hints of green) but not much else. If you also change curtains, you risk making it look too done/match-y methinks. Re cushions/ rug...look online at House of Hackney for patterned textiles....See Moreminnie101
