Is this chair wrong inside

I quite like this wicker chair, mainly the colour and the shape. I'm not sure about wicker though - the room is our snug sitting room (so not the main sitting room), but the chair is very visible as it's in your eyeline as you come in the front door.
Should it be only in a conservatory or can it work with an inside room with an upholstered sofa opposite?
