Arranging oven, microwave and warming drawer

I am planning to have 2 full height tower units in my new kitchen. I'd like to have 2 single ovens, a built in microwave and a deep (29cm) warming drawer. I can't see a way to arrange them so that the tops and bottoms line up across the 2 tall units. Any suggestions?

I really hate the look of appliances, so why not hide microwave behind a door in a cupboard, have a double oven, a warming drawer? just use a microwave? Then no worries about alignment

Since two of those are a different size they can’t go side by side. I would put the two ovens and warming drawer in one tower and then put the microwave somewhere else in the kitchen- probably below the counter.

Adding a new comment to this thread, as I spend days of my life trying to find an integrated microwave that would fit a Howdens 290mm deep wall unit. This was the main thread on Google for info on this problem. I don't want anyway else to waste their life in the same way, so here's what you need to know: -The Howdens 290mm wall unit only officially houses the Lamona integrated microwave, which is 320mm deep. The middle of the Lamona microwave sticks out about 2cm from the wall unit. It looks.. a bit ugly. -HOWEVER, it is possible to get a third party shallow (300mm depth or so) microwave that does fit. -The current model I found that fits the standard Howdens slot is the NEFF HLAWD23N0B_BK. By the time you read this they might have updated the range with a new model number. It's the shallowest integrated microwave they do. -Officially the NEFF needs 320mm depth BUT just ask your electrician and kitchen installer to cut a slot for the power cable to run through the back wall of the unit to the power supply in a separate bit of the units. (We put the power switch in the cupboard above it) -The front of the microwave is about 1mm proud of the units but you wouldn't know it wasn't supposed to fit if you hadn't obsessed over it. Would you be kind enough to disclose the dimensions of the kitchen? Most importantly the distance from the wall with the extractor to the wall behind the full height units. The space is similar to my home and might be an idea I’d like to replicate, however I think I might be slightly too narrow.

Hi Lazylizard, I ended up going for one without any logo whatsoever from AEG on the principle that AEG is part of Electrolux who make the Ikea ovens. The model number is AEG KDE911424B. I recall it being quite hard to source, possibly as AEG have stopped making them or selling them in the UK. I ended up getting one from a white good reseller on ebay at an okay-ish price. I contacted a few resellers and it sounds like they get stock in every so often. If you see one advertised on eBay but out of stock, worth contacting the reseller and seeeing if they can get it in. The service from the reseller was actually very prompt. One annoying thing is that there is an internal glass tray in the warming drawer - when the package arrived the internal tray was smashed to pieces as it hadn't been fixed down for posting. The ebay seller was actually very responsive, offered either a return and refund or a replacement shelf - they sourced it from AEG and it arrived promptly. In terms of match with the Ikea microwave, well I am pretty perfectionist on these things, and it's somehow not quite exactly the same black, however I really do not notice any difference at all on a day to day basis. No-one has ever commented they are different. The builder said the finish was identical. The warming drawer is slightly less a deep black than the Ikea microwave. I am very happy with the end result. I attached a few photos - sorry should have cleaned and tidied up first but too much to do :-)

Hi Angie, We are not aware of any appliance brand making this built-under double oven/combi MW arrangement? Combination MW's are generally a compact appliance with a height of 45cm and combined with a 28cm high warming drawer this may just about fit, but it's very possible the hob will foul on the top as they are shaped differently to an oven. Perhaps you should just replace like for like?
