Love the window - do you have the measurements?

Would love to know the dimensions of the window and surround specifically from the worktop to the units above and also whether it's easy to clean with the hob right in front. Thanks!

We are lucky enough to have an actual Spa. Hand constructed obviously given the nature of what i do for a living. It sits in a corner of our garden only a hop from our back door. We have a two stage raised deck with sunken hot tub, a Sauna, fridge freezer with ice dispenser for entertaining etc. The whole thing has a tile and glass roof with pine & full length glass doors. Oh yep, and a Chiminea with a chimney! It also has a cat flap, and the cat totally thinks it's her own room, she scowls as soon as you open the door and walk in!

We have a square bay window overlooking the front garden with a great window seat. I used a 10 cm foam block (covered with good quality tight woven fabric) which makes long-term sitting more comfortable and a couple of wedge cushions for back support on either side as well as lots of cushions. We store all our photographic equipment underneath the seat as it's dry. The window seat is a great place for one person to sprawl, two people to sit and chat and (on occasion) four people to sit when we've got a crowd. I wouldn't be without it! Tip: Extend the curtain track round to the wall either side of the bay so you can store the curtains away from the window to maximise light.

Hello Emmeline, I have black and a dark charcoal in the kitchen .. In the living room it's black and then a kind of greyish mauve which I make myself.. Most of the woodwork is painted with a colour I made myself.. My front door is charcoal by fired earth.. It's lovely with brass hardware.. :))

Hi Dynamo, I'm responsible for the design in your photo and delighted you like the look of this room. You would only need a few square meters of the split mosaic tiles which are available of sheets, so not expensive for a striking feature. Also, easy to keep free of dust with a quick once over with a dust pan brush, or brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner . WC's are often overlooked but when you consider its a room you use every day and your guests use too, why not make it an enjoyable experience! An alternative and very inexpensive idea for your walls and my signature in practically every home I renovate, is installing 6mm MDF panelling with a 10mm shadow gap in between each panel, apply with Pink Gripfil adhesive. 600mm x 600mm square or horizontal panels of any height add a sense of depth and soul to boring flat, painted walls. A sheet of MDF is cheap as chips, just make sure you prime and undercoat thoroughly with a mini roller before applying eggshell finish or acrylic paint. It's not a main bathroom so not susceptible to humidity, therefore emulsion paint in a contrast shade will work well too.
