Facade - 1930s Italian row house

Hi, I am renovating a small row house and was hoping to get some advice and opinions about exterior colours/materials/combos.
I am thinking custard walls, sage shutters, white window frames, cream/whiteish/stone window sill and lower wall panel cladding (or whatever it called that protective strip at the lowest part of the facade). There will be a mailbox and most likely a house number.
I've attached a photo of the type of window frame we have (windows need to be restored - sanded and painted. Shutters too). Shutters are thesame as the ones in the Generali photo, but are a very dark brown colour at the moment. I have also attached a few photos of some house exteriors I like.
What would you do with this exterior? :)

Also, here's a photo of the house as it is at the moment and a sketch of the way the interior will look (lots of whites, light grey and light wood).

I think your ideas are perfect. Sage green or pale blue would look fab. You are very lucky! Whereabouts in Italy is the house? 😊

Yes, but it also take a special kind of arrogance to override an architect's vision for a particular development. For example, my parents' housing estate was designed with no garden walls at the front so that the houses would seem as if they are almost in a park and there would be an expanse of green all the way along the roads. Then a few territorial types took it into their heads to build piddly little garden walls so now the road is a hodge podge of some green with a few silly walls around some gardens. There is no design consensus so the street doesn't look as good as it could look. Anarchy in design doesn't usually work. Usually it looks better when one person makes the design decisions and one, cohesive vision is expressed. For example, would you employ a different interior decorator with wildly different styles for each room in your house? It might work, but there's a greater chance it will look like the hodge-podge that it is. Would you have one dress designer make your whole dress or would you ask for pockets and collar to be cut by someone else? In some cases, a good result can come of an individual resident on a street making their own strong statement with the exterior of their house (we're not talking about subtleties such as colour of doors etc), but they are definitely the exceptions that prove the rule. I can think of many examples of tasteless 'improvements' made by individual residents to their properties (e.g. the one pictured above, frankly) and only a few good ones.

I think a parapet wall would be nice. You could have some form of pattern in the brickwork to make it more interesting. Im not sure if you'll like the idea but if you put in a 2ft or so (?) wall where the hall door opens in you could have the tv in that corner and then a corner sofa in the bottom right. It would mean changing the position of the bifolds though. Have you considered having a door to the utility from the hall? You could then lose the kitchen one and have an L shaped kitchen. Or if you need the door to the utility move it closer to the door from the hall. I appreciate it's a lot of doors but am just thinking of trekking back and forth with washing. Do you already own the dining table? What will you have between the family area and playroom?

Looks good :) I don't know whether it fits but could the piano go in the radiator corner (although not right in) facing the other way? I might just try painting the picture frames personally. If you've got any left over paint I'd also just paint the radiators in the wall emulsion and see what you think. I don't know whether this would work structurally plus you may hate them (!) but I feel like a hanging chair could work next to the tv. It would need to be a slimmish one and I'd go for one that doesn't visually feel the space too much

Thanks Sonia. You're absolutely right about the pale blue. And I think maybe some pale blue accents inside of the house would look amazing and tie the whole thing together.

Any ideas about the lower wall protective stone or paneling or paint or whatever else it could be?
Also, should I leave the door shutters or get a nice good looking door? And if door - what colour would you go for?

Also...
Would you have tiny roof above the door at all? Would you have a longer one - the entire width of the house? Or would you just leave that out and keep a clean facade?

So many questions 😊 I can only comment on what I would do, but of course it’s just suggestions. I think it deserves a proper front door, the shutter door looks a bit flimsy? Paint it to match the shutters of if it’s a very handsome ornate door leave it natural wood. The grey bricks at the bottom are rather nice so I would leave them as they are. The canopy above the door looks rather DIY do you think? It hasn’t been made good at all, rather like my dad’s terrible DIY(he was Italian)! You could replace it with, maybe a wrought iron one? Here’s some ideas I’ve found.
