POLL: Do you use the Houzz desktop or app more?
Comments (38)I use both. That said the desktop site is far far superior to the iphone app. I preferred the app before the update, as cavgirl said, going straight to 'latest' was much better. The app also regularly crashes and if you accidentally swipe left or right when reading an article it'll go to a previous page with no easy way to get back to what I was reading. If I wanted it to do that I'd just press the back button! One final irritant is that when using the app to write a comment on a discussion the text box takes up the whole screen so you can't swipe up again to read earlier comments/names which you want to make reference too. I did suggest some time ago I would personally love to be able to organise the discussions section by chronological order rather than just recent activity. It feels like some things just get lost because no-one comments for a day so it doesnt get seen for long. Then other times someone comments on an ancient discussion without realising and its top of the pile! Anyway, I do feel I should say I love the unique forum here and you guys do a great job! Sorry about the rant :)....See Morehow can I create kerb appeal
Comments (14)Hi, I'm of the same ilk as The Bulb co above, not a natural born gardener but clean and tidy with a few feature plants is great. A couple of plants that perform well for me, (mainly because i don't have to do anything are), 'red robin' and the Pieris Japonica which is the red one you have in the front garden by the looks of things. Both are evergreen and take very little care, well in my garden anyway. An occasional cut of the red robin keeps new growth coming through red. About once a year. There a link to more info from RHS whivh may help. https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?PID=145 That's the end of my gardening knowledge but I would offer a suggestion of a nice modern outside light something like this adds a bit of a modern look. If you can move the light a little further to the right as you look at the house it's let you show off the architectural detail of your doorway a little better. Finally your home is pretty, it's looks well built and honest and that has a charm that many modern homes lack. We have a great magazine which in this months edition talks a little about post modern homes. It's worth signing up to our newsletter and you get the digital mag FREE along with lots of other VIP benefits on of which is discount for any new VIP subscribers really worth doing as it's giving a special 20% Off at the moment. Comments (8)I do like Gary’s idea of painting the skirting the same colour as the wall. But if you want different colours I would recommend applying low tack masking tape then paint over the edge of the masking tape with the same colour as the skirting board ( but the emulsion version). This will seal the edge well and if you get any paint leaking through it is the same colour as the skirting. Then paint your wall and remove the masking tape at a 45 degree angle whilst it still is a bit tacky. Found this technique effective when painting my house under similar conditions. Hope it makes sense....See Moremood boards for bedroom
