landscape lighting ideas

I want to add a light to the front of my home but I don't know where to begin looking for what I want and I don't know where all to place lighting.

This is a picture of the front of the home I grew up in (new owners have not kept up with the landscaping, so it isn't as nice as I remember)

And a close up of the light that lit the garden on the corner of the driveway

I would like to add a much shorter light, but similar style by my driveway.

Also planning an uplight on where the white arrow is.

Landscape is new and not filled in.

Where else would you place garden lighting?

What is the right scale for a light here?
