what colour walls?

we have just put this pannelling up in this bathroom
I am not sure what colour walls to go with if as the tiles are a mix of grey and blue
the vanity unit is a dark grey but has tones of blue in it too

Hi Joanne, Questions to ask yourself are Would you like the room to be : - brighter or darker - cosy or fresh - feel larger or smaller - feel warmer or cooler - feel cheery, neutral or moody Also which way is the room orientated north? What are the other colours that are in the rest of the house? If these colours are all cohesive the spaces will link well and the house will feel larger. Interior Designers can offer a colour consultation - this is brief example of some of the factors that should be considered but the full service is best in person as the designer can get the feel for the space and samples can be viewed in the correct light which makes all the difference. Green is not a colour I'd usually go to, but green grey could be ok. I'll have a look into that one too. It's quite a dark room because the long living-dining room leads into a conservatory, so the dining rooms windows are all now internal.

Hello teeps74. Congrats. Exciting times ahead :) Get your furniture in first. Live with it awhile to de-stress after the move and get the feel of your new home. Then have a look. The natural light, rugs and sofa colours, and wall / ceiling lights all change when you put them together in a space. The images you have shown compliments each other. So all tie in. If you are keeping the light blue on the walls, it looks like it will go together too. Using throws, cushions, plants and pictures ties a room together but it depends on the look you want and or the compromise. Remember to not be afraid to mix and match. But also if a layout does not work, change it around and then change it again if not sure. If really stuck then post again to get some more advice. Meanwhile Have fun :) ;)

Hi Katie,

Good looking bathroom!

It depends what your colours are. We suggest Barnaby or Brave from the blue range and Riley, all from Graham & Brown.

Alternatively, go up some 3 tones on the bath's colour.

From the colours you’ve put I’d choose Big Bend Beige. But have you considered a pale wedge wood blue?
