Pls can you give me the details of the flooring ? I am looking for something like this that has NO joins /Tiles. But has a organic /concrete /stone look. So probably a Vinyl sheet flooring that looks natural.
I have a floating floor so there for I can not do Microcement which would have been ideal for the look I would like to achieve . I love this floor and hoping its not a real polished concrete floor?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Maxine I think it looks great so far. I love the built in units. It's hard to see from the photos how narrow the room is but I'm guessing as you're hesitant to put a fireplace in it's very narrow. I don't think you need a fireplace as it looks nice as it is and you can still make a feature of it. Depending on whether you intend to use it or not you could just fill it with cut logs or lots of different sized church candles. Then you could put a huge mirror above it that would add light to the room and make it feel wider. Regarding the windows. I like the fact that they are different sizes as it adds interest. Because the room is so narrow, I would stick to very simple Roman blinds. I would mount them on the outside of the recess so they don't take away the natural light and I would go for a light fabric again the enhance the feeling of space. Other tricks to make a room feel wider are to use light floor surfaces or carpet and to paint one of the end narrow walls in a darker colour. Also where the recesses are either side of your fireplace if you painted the areas at the back of the shelves the same darker colour it would create the illusion of them being deeper. Hi! Tricky to tell from some of these pics-is the room a narrow rectangle? You can dress windows to look more similar by keeping curtain lengths the same, if you want more cohesion. Alternatively, wooden slat blinds can look chic and slick, especially with warm lighting. They won't necessarily insulate a lot but they'll add to the feeling of warmth. These Houzz photos show the sort of things I'd aim for: 1. Mix of warm light and dark colours (if the room is rectangular, keep the dark colours to the room ends, to draw them in) 2. If you're feeling brave/dramatic-dark walls with clever lighting (depending on room size) 3. One option for the fireplace. Mixed pillar candles in a grate are always another.
