Bedrooms Lighting Design Dilemma

bedroom light shade?

Q2: really struggling on deciding and finding the right light shade for our recently renovated master bedroom?
I’d rather nothing too industrial (to avoid clashing with the material of the bedside lamps)
My initial idea is to go for a chic, tassel/fringe style shade? If you agree, what are your suggestions on finding this sort?
What are your thoughts?

I tend to opt for LEDs so there isn’t a shade.

Great work so far. I love the colour of the blue on the wall, the painting, and the chest of drawers. Are any of these pictures appealing? I'm thinking a bit of yellow would be nice to add or you can just add varying shades and textures of neutrals in the bedding, throws, and curtains or blinds. I've also included a couple with bronze as previously suggested.

hello. Glad you liked the suggestion. I actually found it on the houzz shop but it wasn't cheap. But I have just looked on eBay and there is quite a few on there...search for 'flush chandelier'. Also Pagazzi, Dunelm or other lighting stores all do lighting like this....you should be able to get something like this for under £150. Hope this helps.

These warm shades are very popular now. I’m not sure of the exact shade but Dulux Blush Pink is a paler version, or they have a new colour called Copper Blush. Here’s pictures, First is Blush Pink, second is Copper Blush.

Do you have another photo showing furniture? It’s also really hard to see the lamp!

if you want a fringe shade try Rockett st George, Anthropologie, Oliver Bonas etc

The room itself has recently undergone a major facelift so we’ve thrown all the old furniture out and are just waiting on a new bed and arm chair to be delivered ..
here is the lamps we have from Home Sense bought in the summer ..

I prefer earthy, neutral and minimalist tones if that helps not too much of a fan for a printed light shade for this room but certainly good to keep an open mind :)

Choose something that will mask the bulb when you’re looking at the pendant from underneath (ie in bed).

Habitat also did a larger size, they look quite dramatic but give a nice soft yellow light, perfect for a bedroom. When it comes to light fixtures, larger is almost always better.

Well they were both sold by Rockett St George but they appear to have stopped selling them..
