Help!!! Off-white hex floor tiles clash with white wall tiles/plumbing
Comments (39)Jonathandb1972, I was thinking of going with a grout that is the same colour or lighter than the grey tile. The hex will be grouted in a medium grey. This has already been done in the loo (the hex) and looks great. Neither are grouted in the above picture. Do you think there will still be issues with where the grout lines are if they are the same or lighter than the tile? Also, where the hex tile in the shower meets the grey tile will mainly be covered by the shower's profile. However, the shower only goes up to about 2m, so there will still be a visible "meeting" of tiles above that. My builder is a little concerned about how this will look as he will have to cut small pieces of tile to fill up the edge, which may stain once they start grouting. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best......See Moreupdate... ideas for soft/warm white for front of house? RAL 9010?
Comments (1)Hi kl55hp, RAL 9010 isn't a very warm white, its just the standard white that most radiators & white goods are painted. The RAL colour guide isn't very extensive and doesn't have that many shades. Is there a specific reason for using a RAL colour for paint? You might be better off heading to B&Q and finding a nice swatch card from Valspar, then take that to your local paint merchant and get them to mix you something in that! (I like to give the local guys my ££) Sam...See MoreWhat colour roof tiles, windows and fascias?
Comments (7)After a delay, now in the middle of renovating the bungalow but I'm having second thoughts about the colour of the windows. Currently have slate grey tiles and white fascias. I was planning to go with white windows (although the fascias are RAL 9010 and the windows only available in RAL 9003, so slightly different whites!), but I really like painswick/agate grey RAL 7038 windows on other properties. I'd welcome any advice before making a decision! I'm also unsure about the render colour for the front of the house to go with RAL 9003 windows. The back of the house is brick....See Moreelectric radiator colour?
Comments (7)Thanks for comments - yeah I think you're right on the last two minnie101 - part of me was tempted as I've seen some nice high contrast graphite radiators but you probably need the right interior to make that work. I too found the pics to be inconsistent and also the pics look very different to the RAL guide I have. They will send some sample/swatches and I will go from there - but it seems like it's narrowed to the first three. Hope the Oyster or Agate work out as they are both matt whereas the white is shiny.... Thanks so much!...See MoreFran
