Comments (2)Sisal is impossible to clean and the dirt falls through it, so it's not very hygienic. I would recommend replacing it with a carpet made of olefin or nylon. A fibre that has the colour in the solution it's made of will not absorb stains and will be easily cleanable. I think you'll be happy with it because it will be quiet and luxurious and will clean up with a quick vacuum most of the time....See Morewant wet room but don't want room getting wet!
Comments (6)I must admit I would go for a screen similar to that shown in the 2nd pic by man about the house. In terms of making it feel more spacious then larger tiles typically work with the tiles run horizontally to the long walls on the floor and then horizontal on the walls. You could keep walls and floors the same or go for something different on the walls but with little contrast. I'd have a really large mirror on one of the long walls. A floating trough style vanity rather than floor standing. I'd also go for the shower head on either long wall so you can have a niche for shampoo etc on the end wall...See MoreReally don't want to mess this up!
Comments (11)nice extension.. 1) to get a straight thoroughfare from kitchen to the garden , you could switch the living room area to the left and vice versa with the dining to the right, this will created a straight path to the garden and give you more room...and keep your two sofas or get a modular sofa and two armchairs...or a long Chesterfield n two armchairs. 2) Change/ remove the location of the peninsula and create an island parallel to the base units on the left and simultaneously make an L shaped peninsula with the left base unit almost meeting the island towards its rear end. 1/3rd of the rear end of the island can be a floating cantilever for bar stools, the sink should be on the island approximately opposite to the cook hob area....or keep the entire island solid and keep the floating cantilever on the peninsula. the short limb of the L of the base units on the left forms a smaller peninsula. its a nice extension, you can get what you want!...See Moredon’t like new kitchen - please help with colour schemes!!
