Hi, I love the tiles you’ve used here, are you able to share details on them and where they’re from please?

Hi Sarah

These tiles were specified by the architect so I'm sorry I don't know where they came from however look at London Stone's site as they have a wonderful range and there are many similar products - I'm sure they will have something that will work for you.

I think it would be best to look at porcelain tiles for outdoors, so long as you find some with good grip. Natural stone - sandstone, limestone, granite etc would probably all look good but may get ruined if the children like painting outside as they’re porous. Even with a sealer, it may be difficult to wash off properly.

Quick Q ... they use a resin for pointing so we don’t get weeds growing through (yay!) but I have a choice of natural (too light), grey or black. The tiles are black limestone which actually look mid grey but darker slightly when sealed and can look black when wet. The grey resin isn’t very dark. Black might be too harsh. Any thoughts??
