How to extend this?

Hi, we are shortly moving into this house? we would like to extend to create an open plan kitchen, living, dining space. We would also like to make Bedroom 3 and 4 bigger, what would you do? There is space to the front of the house above the garage, to the side behind the garage although not sure a double storey there would be possible due to blocking the neighbours light? Or space to the back? Too many options making it difficult.
