Need help decorating my bedroom

I have recently bought black and white Marylin Monroe wallpaper for my statement wall, and I have a brown leather sleigh bed with light coured wooden flooring already in the room. I was just wondering what colours to paint the 3 remaining walls. I was going to go with a light purple however I am unsure. I am open to other suggestions, thanks :)!

No I don't I'm afraid ): all I can do is describe it, I have 3 other walls which I'm going to paint and the on the statement wall I was going to put this wall paper ~

OK so this is what I am now thinking. Paint the wall behind my bedhead with large chevrons in two shades of white. Move the frames to the wall where the birdcages are (and get rid of decals), spread them out at about eye height above my bed and make them more uniform (put monochrome pictures in them and paint some of them more neutral colours). Paint that wall a slightly lighter colour than it is now - maybe a creme beige colour? Paint the window wall in the darker of the two chevron wall colours. Put my nightstand the other side of my bed and get an orange lamp and turquoise clock to put on it. Grab a few cushions to put on my bed. Find something pretty and large to put in the corner of my room - maybe a chair or pot plant? This would mean all three walls would be different... would that look strange? Also I could do with doing something about my window, I don't really want to splash out on new curtain pole and curtains but at the moment I can't shut the blind because of my vintage globe & frames etc on the sill! Maybe I should just move the junk elsewhere? Thanks for your ideas everyone - keep them coming! I am terrible at making decisions - and I am also terrible at liking what I have done, I always want to improve everything :-\

If the room is big enough - dividing shelves or pair of wardrobes facing different directions can divide a room well - must be secured well though - especially wardrobes with heavy doors that open - slide robes work better if the budget can stretch that far !

Ok so your taste is a little more traditional. I still think greens and possibly duck egg blues will compliment that colour of wood as per these photos. If you want something a little warmer you could try a darker wine colour? You could try an Internet search for traditional style hotel bedrooms for inspirational ideas.

Hi. I think any dark, rich colour could work well (would paint the skirts in the wall colour) but if you didn't want to paint the furniture either a really deep teal or inky blue would work well. Perhaps use ochre or burnt orange as accent colours or moss or emerald/grass green work really well with an inky blue. I assume the ceilings aren't tanked so you'll need a ceiling fix pole? Having floor to ceiling curtains will make it feel taller. I'd also have a tall portrait leaner mirror on the wall opposite the window to make it feel taller and to bounce light (do you know where the stud work is for attaching things to walls?) Could you have a light weight canvas hung on the chimney breast attached with those sticky pads? Agree re lighting and would also add 1/2 floor lamps. Is an electric stove in budget for the chimney? My only reservation is dark walls against a white ceiling. I think my basement is the same height and I deliberated for ages and in the end painted it all white :) there is an argument that dark ceilings can create depth as you can't see where they end.. also an argument re white gloss or Matt finish for the ceilings! If you did go for dark walls though i might consider a mid shade for the ceiling
