Non thermostatic shower/bath mixer help

Morning all!
We had a beautiful brushed gold shower fitted - exposed with a bath filler tap on it.
Didn't realise at the time that it wasn't thermostatic and now need to change it so it doesn't scald anyone 😞
I can't find the same type of thing in brushed gold and have seen some black ones which will kind of ruin the look but it's a last resort.
So I'm asking if anyone has any clever ideas plumbing wise for making it work (we can add a thermostatic control in the back pipework but that means the bath won't even be hot enough as it will be set to 38degrees) would a wireless one work?
or knows of a thermostatic one

Are you looking to simply replace what you have, or are you happy to consider fittings that sit within the wall (and then re-tile). I wouldn't have thought painted wall would be suitable? I haven't experienced this though. How about 1 tile consisting of small mosaic tiles just for the tap to sit on?

You can have an exofiller (so you don't have the taps in the bath, the only sensible solution with kids I think). Then you can have a handset that is hung on the wall next to the bath or sits within a shelf alongside a bath (see recessed bath photo below), deck mounted is the phrase some bathroom suppliers use and you need a diverter on your valve (either one or two depending if you want the hot and cold separate or a manual mixer). I am not sure the loo has to be on the outside wall - it could be anywhere, you just have to box in the large pipe that will run from it to the outside wall. I know it's irritating when people say start again but the room seems a bit bitty and if the basin and loo were in a run of units, separated by small cupboards, with a continuous surface along the top of the whole run, it would look really rather sleek. And the pipe could run under the units, hidden by it - that's what I've done in my bathroom. Stick a mirror above the units, covering the whole wall from surface to ceiling, and side to side, and it will make the room seem much bigger. Are you having a towel radiator in there? That will add some character if you have towels that complement the colours you choose. Then add some interesting bits and pieces to make it seem less utilitarian.

Hello we are planning a bathroom renovation and I'm looking for some assistance with showers. We are based in the UK. we will be getting a shower over bath and the bath will be situated flat against the far wall of the room, so against 2 external walls and 1 internal wall. However only one of those external walls, at the typical tap end of the bath, can be used to fix a shower due to the location of a large window. We have a Combi Boiler but our flow rate isn't amazing; about 8.5 litres per min from the bath tap, and circa 7 litres per min from the shower head both at shower temperature. We currently have a bath/shower mixer. We would like to get the best possible shower experience we can within our flow rate limitations. We're not fussed about a thermostatic shower because only adults live in the house. From my research this seems to lead back to another bath/shower mixer. However if anyone has any alternative ideas then please let me know. in terms of brand we're thinking Grohe / Hansgrohe etc. Something good quality which will last. Also we're only looking for a hand shower. We won't be needing a rainfall overhead shower due to lack of ceiling height to be able to fix it at a decent enough height for my tall husband. Does anyone have any specific shower recommendations based upon our parameters or any other brands to recommend so that we can narrow our focus? We will also be having a glass bath screen and I'm thinking maybe Matki- although we're open to other suggestions. We want something which is good quality and easy to clean (i.e. not too many nooks and crannies to get dirty!). Because we're having a bath screen and due to the location of the vanity unit (i.e. relatively close to the edge of the bath) I'm concerned about the ease of reaching taps to turn on the shower to get the water to shower temperature before stepping in. Is there any way we can get a shower with the controls easily accessible? if this is something we want to investigate would our only option be a digital shower or are there other plumbing solutions? It would have to be similar as I can't re-tile due to timescales and materials.

I've actually seen the black version of that second lusso one last night on amazon but it was 1/3rd of the price. Makes me wonder if its copied or just made in China like all the others and lusso just sell it? 🤔 🙈

Not find a gold version as yet so will put it on my list. I guess it will come down to cost in the end ie gold vs black as black are a lot cheaper.

My shower is so pretty so I'm gutted 😩

Yours definitely looks nicer!

I’ve not used Lusso Stone myself - although very nearly did a couple of years ago. I really like their inset - sets (like the first one), but in the end I went for a less pretty Grohe set because of price and known reliability. To be fair though, I only ever saw good reviews of Lusso…. (Haven’t looked recently though!).
