depth of these drawers

Can you please share the depth of these drawers? It looks smaller than 24?

Hi, These drawers are really shallow - I don't remember exactally but I think they are around 15" deep... The area where the refrigerator is is deeper though and holds a full-size refrigerator (aprox 30" + deep.

Your renovation looks like it is going very well, don't get discouraged. I think before you change the pantry cupboard, it would be worthwhile you and your partner mocking up the eating area and the kitchen island unit to get an idea of where you're going. Re the island, I think an island unit which runs to the end of the pantry cupboard will add more weight and bulk to the space and anchor the pantry. It could be a working bench at the far end and an eat-on area at the closer end. This will give you space to 'land' items you are pulling out of the pantry If you mocked this up with some boxes and sheets, and then also added some large "pictures" taped to the walls, left and right of the pantry, I think it would give you a much better idea of the finished space. Re the art size, possibly pieces that relate to the pantry cupboard height on the left side of it and two pieces either side of the range hood that relate to the lower level upper cabinets at the far end .

thanks I won't be able to go as long as 2800, 2400 would probably be too long and impact on the other seating area but 2200 is ideal, also Im allowing 1m for depth as I was told that u need 300mm to sit comfortably. my only concern is how the island will look if the drawers are only 600mm deep with an overhang of 300mm on the far side prefer it when it looks more filled in but then I can't fit 3/4 stools around the island ie 3 on the length and 1 on the far end. any suggestions.

Do you think the door standing off about 30mm from the wall is due to your fitting being round rather than flat? Thinking if I got a flat bar rather than a round tube one, it might save me some space? Lol. Only I have the door handle on the fridge to take into consideration as well. :0/

Ha ha - I’m in exactly the same boat!!!! My Malm are quite old and have yellowed a bit - so I have been looking for a replacement for over a year. I’ve spent hours researching and simply haven’t found anything that I like (apart from a huge bespoke unit from Tylko, coming in at over £3k 😂😂). I think I’m likely to replace mine with more Malm, but go for the white gloss instead of the normal white. I would be interested to know if you find anything else.
