Awkward space advice

We are currently knocking through the wall between the very old shower into the very old toilet to create an office to the left of this space. It is the only window on the landing therefore we do not want to bring the wall out to use the space. My question is what can we do with the space - thinking some type of storage? We will be getting a clear glass window instead of the frosted and I am unsure if we just brick the bottom section up and have a smaller window if this will impact significantly on the amount of light. Any thoughts would be very gratefully received.

In think, we could do with a few more images of the space if you have some, please? It's hard to understand what you would like to achieve and what this space is in relation to your home.

Looking at that image alone I would say to brick up the bottom for a decent storage arrangement (have you thought what you would need to store there?) and then a clear glass window at the top for some light - but without seeing more angles I don't know what impact that would have.

Maybe you're best to just go bold. block up the whole thing and have wall to ceiling storage for impact - works with a moodier color pallet and storage of books would look good.

Hi, in that space I would put a nice relaxing framed print and beneath it a shaker style shelf with pegs to hang pretty scarves or hats or bags. I have one in my utility room between two cupboards and it gives a lovely feel to the room as well as being useful. Mirrors are not good feng shui opposite a bed and although shoe storage is great it might be too much between the wardrobes. Pretty colours!

I would put a huge gloss top table in the corner at the same height or a little lower, than your sofas. It would really suit a large bow table lamp with a wide coolie shade, and a couple of objet d'art to finish it off. Don't look at the colours below, I'm showing you the arrangement only. Based on your own room, choose a white gloss table, and add a lamp similar to the one I'm showing below in scale, but try to tie the colour of the shade in with your floor, to add warmth to a cool scheme on your walls and sofas.. You can't go wrong. Classic and classy. Let me know what you decide! x

Wet room floor and bifold door and fixed panel might work ?! Agree that the tanks could be moved where you suggested for most efficient use of space ! (Not much traffic on the 'other' threads - so sorry for slow response ! )

I would put a filing cabinet style unit facing into the space. You can then either fill it with things for the office - desk space or clothes if required. It would work because it is easier to access by pulling the usable space forward in the form of drawers rather than having to lean into the space. If you have the fund available then you can have made (or DIY) the drawers at the size that works for you. Good luck.
