What color are Cremone bolt

Hello, in one of your many beautiful photos you have what looks like a black bar. Was wondering what color the Cremone bolts are. They look antique brass, but unsure.

We are building a similar bar, but in a blue/gray color with a backlit onyx wall. If the hardware is antique brass, do you think that would be a good choice for blue gray?

Hi Doreen, yes they are antique brass. I do think that finish would look great on a dark blue gray cabinet as well, especially if you have other brass accents ( light fixtures, cabinet hardware, etc.). Another finish I love on dark blue gray is polished nickel. That can be very striking too. I guess I’d go with whatever finish looks best with the onyx. Hope that helps!

Hello Amanda, : )) Do you mean in the kitchen? Yes a nice idea. I like flat plate too, but really plain. Well the best way to describe how I feel about certain alterations is to tell you about someone I knew who "did up" her flat to such a degree that she literally took away all that was characterful about it.. Sometimes it's best to leave things as their patina develops over time and results in something quite special. Restoration is one thing but you can also restore the life out of something and thus diminish in certain contexts the value- and so it's good to know when to stop.. So yes, I'm firmly in the camp suggesting leave them, but of course it's entirely your choice. : ))

Yes I think so. Someone suggested a grey linen one not long ago that seemed like it would work well. It's a shame you can't get it any bigger.. It looks a little drowned in the corner there.

Are you sure you want to go industrial? The room looks like a cute little period bedroom not a converted warehouse (yes, I do know the industrial style is very fashionable at the moment). Personally, I like the idea of having a whole wall of curtains. Alternatively, is there a wallpaper with the same pattern that you could use on the wall? As you seem to like mid-century, vintage pieces too, I think I'd stick to that theme as it's more likely to really complement the room.

I don't really like the shelf for that wall. I feel it would be too small. If you feel that the console table that Jen P posted (lovely one) won't be in the way too much, you could do that one in white. TV on top. There are console tables out there that are even narrower. Look on Wayfair.co.uk for example.
