Unparallel Wall Ideas

last year

I am rebuilding a house on a plot whose dimensions are not exactly at 90 degrees. So I have few spaces in my room in which walls are on different angles. What to do to minimise the ambiguity.

Hello, I have a lot of ideas for you! Before anything else I always first suggest people to think of their style they like and start off from there to make life easier. We all have some style we like or it could be even multiple. This Living area looks beautiful, feautering Traditional/Rustic style. I collected some images for your inspiration that I hope it will help. You got to think of what style you would like to have, or how is it going to be the interior decorated cause that counts as well. You said you wouldn't like to go for nothing fancy or traditional. I would suggest you the spot lights to keep your space bright, and they would actually look pretty nice fitted in the the beams. A contemporary style chandelier would also look great in the middle of the room, you could consider glass lamps, they are very popular. I also thought of Industrial style and added a pendant light. Not sure if you're wanting to keep it white but if so some ideas for inspiration. It's hard to suggest artwork for someone else but a gallery wall might be nice or trying oversize wall clocks, chalk boards etc.

Hi Liz I had a look at the images you posted, and I think a lovely green would be great on your kitchen walls! There is a great one, called Persian Green from Colourtrend, i think it has been discontinued on their current colour charts, but is still available to buy, its a lovely warm natural green and would be fab, looking out onto your garden from inside. The blue appears to make the room look slightly cool...so maybe stay away from blues and greys! Defo change the handles, and just plain white roller blinds, with a side winder, no frills, let the light in, clean and fresh too! Hope this helps ;)

nasmijati, yes good point, the concept is to have the glazing on view from a secure garden for the home owners eyes only, from the other side this barn looks like a normal barn. We are considering ‘intelligence glass’ which switches from frosted to clear at the touch of a button. Most gardens are in darkness at night with the views from the house looking out over them. So we’re thinking wouldn’t this design be a great focal point illuminated at the end of the garden perhaps.
