Kitchens Design Dilemma Flooring

copper splashback with gold marbled floor ties

Hello, I need help with matching kitchen splashback with floor tiles. Would a copper splashback look good with white marbled tiles that have gold streaks running through them? The kitchen units will be olive green and the worktop is white with a very fine grey marbling. Attached is a picture of the splashback and a sample for tile. Any thoughts?

Just to offer a different view point. Your floor tiles look amazing. Why not flow the idea through and use tiles of that ilk as your splashblack. We have just recently finished a kitchen with a similar feel and our client opted for patterned wall tiles as their splashback. Based on your comment about the floor being chosen to banish boredom If you are worried about carrying through more of the same tones and want to inject colour, you could always do this through your accessories, that way if you fancy a change.... The colour tones you have chosen provide a great canvas on which to complement or have fun with colour.

Clear glass lets the wall colour show through and is less of a statement, and easier to source than coloured to match. Someone mentioned Mercury tiles, these are antiqued mirror subway tiles we used on a recent project. Easier to clean and install than a large piece of mirror. You could also try using your wall colour but in an eggshell finish instead of emulsion, easy to wipe off splashes and can be retouched up if needed.

These were put in our house 14 years ago - started marking about 6-7 yrs ago and now just before I take them out I can mark with my finger nail. Think the quality of the black sockets are better now. Love the half wall ... and the industrial tiles that have been suggested. It’s going to look great!
