Condensation problem in loft.

Hi, what can we do to solve the problem with condensation forming on the roof felt inside our loft?
This has only been a problem since we insulated the loft floor. We have left a gap around the very edge of the eaves and thought that was 'ventilation' but now we have drips from the roof. Is this because the loft is now really cold so when warm air does get in (for instance through the spotlights in the bathroom which are not well sealed) then it hits the cold and condenses.
How can we improve this? More ventilation in the roof? Seal up the lights somehow?
House is lovely and warm now but loft is getting damp :-(
