How can install a wall bed on plasterboard wall?

I would like to convert my second bedroom to a home office with a wall bed. I work from home and seems like a way of getting the best of both worlds.


Looking at a pre-made bed with storage kit but all suppliers advise that they shouldn't be installed on plasterboard walls.


I dont want to open up my new build plasterboard walls(metal studs) and reframe.

Any advice? Can I add 18mm structural plywood over the entire wall section and connect wall bed to plywood and metal studs?
