Do you have to run the same coloured fixtures through all bathrooms or can they all have different coloured fixtures in each bathroom. I’m doing 3 bathrooms.

No. Typically an ensuite will be more deluxe. You might consider a similar style. But really, as long as the tap suits the room it’s in and suits the overall house style

Yes, usually my accent wall is wall papered, first time in a long time not papered as I do like patterns and shapes. I am starting bedroom project tomorrow, think I am decided on the colour of the walls, and the brass look, just hundred things running through my mind on how to tie it in all together now, so concentrating on what to do with the curtains and bedspread. I usually go for bedding that is striking and vivid, as I love a good bed (I did say don't take notice of my bedroom at the moment, it is thrown together and looks awful) curtains always scare me on what to do there, so I usually just go for one colour. But please, any ideas, are greatly wanted and appreciated. So when you say a purple drape, are you saying on for the curtains? I really want to try and experiment there, but, as said, they always scare me lol

Recessed light fixture for bathroom that supports BR30

I have LIFX lights in my house and I want to install a recessed light in the bathroom that also supports a LIFX BR30 bulb. This is so I can change the brightness and colour to change the atmosphere in the bathroom. I'd prefer to stick to LIFX bulbs as I have them in the rest of the house. When I'm searching though I'm finding it difficult to find any light fixtures that support a BR30 bulb, I'm guessing because it's not a widely supported bulb in the UK. The best I can find is a combined light fixture and fan is a Broan Nutone fan light, but I have no idea if this would in the UK and adheres to the correct regulations. It looks like I'd have to import it from the US thought. Can anyone offer some advice on this?

That’s just what I’m saying .... I wouldn’t let my builder choose my taps. Some choices need to be made solely by you because everyone’s opinion is different. I presume you’ve already chose a builder from what you’ve said. There are builders out there who work as Project Manager too. My husband does it and is currently doing something very similar to what you describe His current Contract is around £80k so a lot or work involved with walls coming down, RSJs going in, flooring, new kitchen. He has advised his customer and led them in the right direction but personal choices such as light fittings and kitchen fascias have been made by them. In short what I’m saying is you choose your more personal items and let the builder offer his experience for the construction side of things.

Ooh, what lovely colours - the dark contrasting windows sound wonderful too. I think white lighting looks cleaner and more timeless. Metal finishes have a tendency to stand out, especially when they reflect light, so white will allow the soft colours and focal points of your room to stay the focus. Matte or a satin finish will also help it appear softer and more tonal with your paint colours.

IMO, there is no hard rule that says all bathrooms in a house must be the same color. In fact, many designers choose to mix and match different fixtures and finishes to create a unique and personalized look for each bathroom. It depend on your preference style, bathroom layout and color scheme of each bathroom.
