Really need some splashback help please.
Comments (4)I think the kitchen will look great with the updates, the cabinets look good to me. I would however remove the 2 glass fronted ŵall cabinets. "Old hat" but why not grey for the cabinets as it ties in with the blinds in the living room? For the worktop have you also looked at the marble effect Quartz as its classic and should never date. Rather than tiles have an upstand and a splashback for the hob in the Quartz. Or if you want the wow, go for clear glass and have wallpaper underneath or commissioned art or silver leaf etc or even just a tiled splas hack. I also like your choice btw, i wouldn't pay attention to the kitchen company, it's your kitchen! Perhaps continue it down the side of the breakfast bar? have you considered cup handles? I love them and they give a contemporary or classic look to a kitchen. Maybe look at adding just a few green accessories to tie in with the blue?...See MoreHelp me choose kitchen worktops and possible splashback/tiles
Comments (13)Hi, I've now had quartz worktops fitted in a white with grey and mirror flecks (compact lactea) & attach photos. Cabinets are all done too. My next area is what to do for splashback behind the hob/under the extractor. I originally wanted to do red glass across the length of the wall, but we have had under unit lights fitted below the higher cabinets and at night I can change these to any colour I want. If I do red all across I won't get the effect of the lights. Not even sure red would go? The wooden chairs are going and will be replaced & I still need to choose my island lights (thinking 3 pendants hanging). Husband thinks stainless steel sheet behind hob. I'm not sure this will look right with dark glass hob under it & wonder if it is hard to look clean all the time. What ideas do you all have as you helped with the worktops. I also show the dining table and the new open lounge area (intend to put a rug down). We also still need to find wall lights....See MoreSplashback advice please
Comments (21)Hi Sarah The beauty about the kitchen you have gone for, contemporary white units with natural wooden worktops and floor means that there are lots of options open to you for your splashback in terms of colour palette especially if you opt for glass. Or, have you considered something slightly more adventurous in terms of a printed design. We have been helping a customer in London recently who has been in a similar situation - not quite sure which way to go. He sent us an image that he liked and we visualised how the design might translate to his new kitchen (please see images above) to give him an idea of the finished look before making a decision. If you would like us to help you out in the same way and have a design in mind we would be happy to do so. We have an arrangement with www.depositphotos.com where you can search, browse and choose from over 50 million designs and images. It might be worth taking a look. The cost for supplying the 2 Toughened Glass Splashbacks in this case worked out at around £300. Please let us know if we can be of any help. Kind regards, Richard...See MoreHelp with glass splashback
Comments (3)Hi Michael, I recently designed a small kitchen off a Games Room - see picture below. I agree with the other comments you have had - photos of your kitchen and further information on the colour of the walls and floors would be helpful. Good Luck! Georgie...See MoreDaisy England
