Unusual kitchen space problems

I need either a new kitchen or to just replace existing units in a very small, unusual kitchen space. I have a low budget and none of the low budget shops seem to come to your home to help with measuring and design. Is there really no alternative other than to get a high end shop to come in person to my home (at great expense) if that even exists? I'm really not sure that I'm up to doing the measuring all myself and designing online. Many thanks for any pointers.
