Empty space on ensuite wall

Hi, I'm freshening up my house for selling later in the year. I feel like there is a big empty space for the right of the mirror that needs something putting there. All suggestions welcome. Any other thoughts on staging appreciated. I've just finished painting so still have to put the loo roll holder (to the right) and a towel bracket (to the left) back on the wall. Many thanks

I would buy a budget larger mirror for right across the wall. The current arrangement looks as though it was a change of plan to add the toilet. If you have storage behind (it looks like you may do) then I would just move it (contents) somewhere else for now while you sell your house. A large mirror would unify the space. If you don't want to do that then maybe a shelf with a real or faux plant or maybe 2 shelves? You could also just leave it as it's not a deal breaker and new owners might want to replace the bathroom anyway.

Thank you. The mirror has lights in it and power behind (sorry should have put them on to make it clear). The shelves are a really good idea thank you

Thanks for taking the time to look at this. I'm happy with the overall layout. I'm just wondering whether we could go longer on the shower tray so it almost spans from wall to wall? the space between the walls is 2070mm which we wouldn't get a standard tray to fit. Think the largest is 1700/1800. This would leave us with some spare space to either just tile the floor or make a false wall with and perhaps put a recessed shelf or space within.

If there's a nice view it'd be perfect for a little sitting/lounge area. For the sloping ceiling, custom made roll-out cabinets if you have space to roll in that direction. Perfect for storing those extra bedsheets and blankets with a bookshelf on the side.

Hi Vicki, I would go for bigger tiles, ones that are 60 cm x 30 cm. If you use smaller tiles the outcome may look too busy with your chosen floor tiles. I also suggest choosing very light grey wall tiles, the colour of which matches to the grey background colour of the floor tiles. That would give you the industrial sort of vibe you are aiming to achive. Order different samples and see how the combinations look in your bathroom. Thanks so much for taking the time to respond Jonathan, I really appreciate the input. My husband is kind of set on a balcony as we can see the river and he wants to be able to sit there with a cup of tea 😜. I don’t mind either way really, I just didn’t want to have chairs in the bedroom as I thought that would look odd? Your ideas have brought up an issue in my mind though about the balcony/possible seating for this view and the fact that we will need to keep moving it around when we open and close the doors. With the side window, the house is under a national trust covenant and so the side window is really there to look a little more aesthetically pleasing and to match downstairs. I know it seems to waste that whole wall though.

I think a free standing toilet roll holder would be best then you can place it anywhere you like.

Never been a fan of a mirror directly above a toilet for obvious reasons!

Hi Alan, we were thinking of something similar in terms of shelving it could be a nice addition to fill the space or if you want to add a bit of life into the bathroom, maybe you could add some form of indoor hanging basket to put some plants in to match your wooden furniture.
