display dilemma
Comments (10)Hi Michelle, I'd go for the lamp option as even with your white walls its quite dark. We have a few options for you to look at here if that helps: http://www.thebulbco.com/led-interior-lighting/table-lamps Or just a thought (sorry if you don't like the idea as know its not what you have asked!) but how about moving the display shelf to another area in your house and having this as a reading area, you could put some lights on the wall and put a nice chair under the stairs as can see from the books on your display shelf that you like reading?...See MoreDo you keep your toiletries on display?
Comments (24)I have cupboards under and next to the basin so there is lots of out of sight space for spares. I do keep what I need daily on the surface next to the basin but they are in glasses in a colour that goes with the room and I've arranged them slightly artily so they look considered, not haphazard. That's my view - people who visit my house might think differently! Thinking about it, many of my friends keep everything hidden. When I had my loft converted in my previous home, the architect gave me a very pretty bag to take all my daily stuff in and out of the bathroom - the message was, keep them out of sight. Only remembered that right now. I think I'll have to rethink my routines!...See MoreMedia Wall
Comments (6)Thank you Carolina. it's amazing how the wall in orange has dramatically changed the look of the room. I am definitely stealing from this idea by changing my accent colour to Orange from Red. I think it works better for the brick wall....See MoreCreating a display area
Comments (11)Top Recesses: I think books would look lovely on the top recess (right) - Maybe a nice Photoframe on the right top. If too deep perhaps you could store double line of books,to the back of both. Regarding bottom recess, timber will look lovely. Middle Left, perhaps large ceramic art piece? Middle Right - Depends on final size of TV and equpment but could both (TV, DVD) be stored here?...See More- 2 months ago
