Kitchen / Living room Design Dilema
Comments (9)There's always other options ! Here's another idea... A. Seating area - pair of sofas and coffee table. B. Extending dining table - turn 90 degrees to extend. C. Family size over depth USA FF. D. Slim storage cabinets - could be midi height or tall - to house extra fold up chairs for when dining table extended and, in future, a place for kids toys. E. Island and kitchen straight run. Dependent on plumbing and extraction for a ceiling hood, could have either sink or hob on island if you fancy. F. Full depth cleaning cupboard for vacuum and mop etc. G.WM and TD space with shelving either side for folded washing and hanging rail for shirts etc - ie a proper laundry room . NB if not on a party wall - vented TD would be great ! Hope this gives you food for thought . Kind regards, Karen OnePlan [ marketing note - this is an example of the sketch consult service OnePlan provide... We happily provided this for free to this Houzzer, on this occasion . Comments (17)Hi Kerry, have you got any measurements or a floor plan of some sort? The space is tight but looks great to utilise. We are a bespoke furniture making company and I would be more than happy to help you with the design to utilise the space at it's best ability. Comments (13)Eaves storage a plenty! Imagine hatches next to the nightstands and in the bathroom. I removed the closed off dressing area as it only chops up the grand loft feeling. Going clockwise starting top left: Window seat with storage underneath, tall wardrobe, little desk, tall wardrobe (for towels and such). Bathroom door moved over a bit, could be pocket, but a regular would be fine as well. Vanity about a meter wide, toilet, shower, eaves storage, freestanding bath. Then more tall wardrobes (either with or without the corner bit), slightly deeper wall between stairs and bed, not much else....See MoreWhich loft design is better? How would you design the layout?
Comments (12)I gave it a shot. By moving the bedroom door sideways, you'll have a wide wall opposite the bed to hang a tv. A shallow dresser or storage bench will also fit there without the walkway becoming too narrow. The bathroom is 2.05x1.85m and the landing is 1m wide (I recall a landing having a minimum requirement, please check that). Bottom left is eaves storage, as it's below the 1.80m line. Wardrobe and desk (makeup table) in the dormer. (to return a favour paypal.me/rinkedit)...See MoreJonathan
