yes it is bamboo. It is Golden Goddess (clumping version)

Hello Ffion. As it was already mentioned above it is not recommendable to sleep with a window behind your head. Can you upload some more pictures of your bedroom? Just to have an idea how it is organised. I believe there is always solution ;). You can believe or not but your sleeping problems may be caused more by the placement of your bed then street lights. Hello Irina, I must say it may not be intentional as your mirror is broken but how you have situated it is actually really gr8! I think it looks really refreshing placed that way and works beautifully with the blue. I want to suggest something by Michael Anastassiades which I think would be ideal like the tube chandelier. Which would also work brilliantly with your floor lamp. One more thing... I'd love to suggest a Swan basket for the fireplace with plain feet.. Free standing rather than dogs. :)) This is a 3 sided swan and I have mine the other way around.. I think it looks better that way. : ))

From having a quick read over everything that has been said, it's a lot to filter through and digest the suggestions that are of interest to you. I can only make a suggestion from an art on wall point of view. Hi Laura, thanks for posting. Wow, it looks amazing! Amazing how much difference the floor, splashback and mirror make, it's transformed. Well done. I'm struggling to like a splashback in my new kitchen (even though I chose it) so was looking for inspiration - my partner just doesn't get it and will probably leave me if I even dare to mention changing it :-)
