POLL: Do you buy your pets Christmas presents?
Comments (26)Last year the cat got a new bed, the chickens got a treat tin and the geese got a floating ball for the pond. It's the giving that's important, not which species you're giving to, or whether they are aware of it. I'm not religious but I love celebrating the fact that we all made it through another year....See MorePOLL: Toilet lid up or down?
Comments (24)Results on Google of a controlled experiment by MythBusters. They kept two untainted toothbrushes in an office far away from the lavatory and others in a loo. At the end of the month-long trial, they sent their toothbrush collection to a microbiologist for bacterial testing. Astonishingly, all the toothbrushes were speckled with microscopic fecal matter, including the ones that had never seen the inside of a bathroom. The confirmed myth unfortunately proved that there's indeed fecal matter on toothbrushes — and also everywhere else. I'm guessing there'll be a boom in toothbrush sales as the only way to prevent this deadly contamination is a new toothbrush every time we brush our teeth! I for one will continue to not give a damn!...See MorePOLL: Where do you keep your bin?
Comments (23)We have a small bin under the sink for non recycling things, black plastic, the pods from my coffee machine, dirty kitchen roll etc., which before 5p a bag started, used to be lined with a shopping bag, now I save the planet by buying a roll of bin bags! We also have a small food compost bin next to it, which I buy special bags for from amazon. Then, in the garage, which is next to the utility room we have the paper, tin, glass, plastic recycling boxes, the big food bin with the strong lid and the larger general waste bin which is collected every fortnight. I hate seeing bins outside houses and think that the new bin system which requires such a collection of bins has meant some terraced houses in our area have gone down in value, the residents are not always tidy and the council should provide better ways of collecting and dealing with rubbish when people find it hard to store it out of sight. Seeing bins around is one of my big pet hates!...See MorePOLL: What do you use your guest room for?
Comments (29)As no-one stays anymore, I swapped my lounge with my spare room (flat). I now have a lovely square lounge just for TV and chats etc. My spare bed is in my new 'craft room' just in case but it is covered with paper, clay, frames, paint and records. I paint and listen to old rock and metal that I can shout along to!!!...See Moreeli
