Comments (22)I think something like in the below picture would look great. The dining set here would look great too. Add a white or cream large shaggy rug for warmth and brightness in front of the sofa. Darlings Maltino White Rug Add dark purple floor length curtains in a translucent fabric, a glass or mirror pr acrylic coffee table and a large mirror on the wall behind the sofa. Maybe replace the sofa with a model such as our Delamere in a light purple velvet or any light colour fabric, we have 100's to choose from. Darlings Delamere Sofa Range Keep the TV where it is and clear the clutter in the window end of the room. Perhaps add a large potted plant or small occasional chair in the corner where the display cabinet is. and a large basket in the corner in front of the radiator for the kids toys and bits and pieces....See MorePro Tip: How to Choose the Perfect Leather Sofa

To get the best sofa possible, it’s important to get the size right. Strazzia’sL-Shaped Sofas, also known as corner sofas, bypass these potential issues as they are made up of two to three smaller-sized components, which easily fit together once in the desired space. How can I make sure my Italian Leather Sofa is the right size? First and foremost, measure the space that you are planning to place your new sofa. Take into account any awkward spaces or overhangs from window ledges that the sofa may have to fit around. To help visualise the space the sofa will take up, and whether it takes up too much space. Measuring and placing newspaper on the floor in the relevant area is a useful tactic. Italian Leather Sofas for large spaces If you have a large, open plan living room, it’s important to choose something that has a higher back like the Lady 3 Seater Sofa. This helps break up the space in the room. In addition, consider questions like: How much space do I want the sofa to take up? Are you looking to furnish with chairs too? Do you want a coffee table? Depending on your answers to these questions, a three or four seat sofa may be most suitable. Or would a sofa with a slight L shape would be the best fit. If you’re looking for a sofa to be a focal point of the room, a rounder shaped sofa that takes slightly more space would be best. Comments (52)I'm not sure about either to be honest, sorry. I appreciate the ideas though! I think where i'm struggling is i quite like something gold/marble, i'm just aware I have gone for quite statement pieces so I want everything to effortlessly flow together and look well-styled but not gaudy/mish-mashed. I suppose I know how i want it to feel i.e. luxurious, elegant and feminine rather than how i want it to look, if that makes sense? For side tables I was thinking maybe something like this https://www.atkinandthyme.co.uk/furniture/tables/side-tables/castello-side-table.html...See MoreLeather sofa - a good idea or not? Owners of leather sofas I need you
Comments (16)Hi, I've had leather sofas... wouldn't get them again. They look great and are easy to clean, but if you are someone who gets cold easily and don't like the feel of cold surfaces in the winter you will cringe every time you sit on them in the winter. (I'm guessing you have wood burner because your house gets cold) and if you are someone who is generally hot all the time then in the summer when your're wearing shorts and t-shirt you will stick to them and they will make you very sweaty leaving wet patches as you get up. The worst is when guests leave wet patches where their bums have been! Once the sofa has been worn in a bit and the seat area gets a tiny bit saggy as they all do, you will find yourself sliding into the sag. You will find yourself pulling yourself out each time you get up, especially in the bigger sofas. An occasional chair as in Sonia's picture I think is fine or if they are in a secondary room. Not to mention repair costs if you manage to damage the leather. Regarding cleaning sofas then we bought a upholstery and carpet cleaning machine. (The house had very light cream coloured carpet throughout when we moved in) It works great. We never had a problem with fading or any extra wear and tear....See MoreCancork Floor Inc.
