Comments (12)I'd tone down the door or brighten up the artwork. Both are lovely but it's as though they are separate rooms with the red door picking up the stained glass. A calmer shade of pink, blue or duck egg or similar would tone with the artwork better....See Morewhat colour goes with F&B Skimming Stone?
Comments (20)Skimming Stone looks stunning with blues, including navy, and also pink/red colours. If you think of it as a berry tone, it looks great with everything else in that range: blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, gooseberries and green leaves. Also, I can vouch that it goes well with Strong White. I have Strong White in my hallway, and Skimming Stone in my living room. I agree that Elephants Breath is ver ‘lilac’, but it works when contrasted with Strong White and All White....See MoreAluminium colour - dual or white inside
Comments (7)Hello Leah, I like the idea of charcoal or dark grey, works well with woods and other brown elements.. Black is quite severe and so I would suggest looking for something that is striking yet softer visually... Still keeps a strong architectural element but can work very well with a lot of interior styles and colour. I like the table and benches in your first image.. You see how the legs compliment the frames of the doors.... Also you create space underneath and visually it becomes a very interesting view, whilst spatially being rather open, which is very light.. Also consider for the longer term rather than the more immediate use.. A playroom can easily be made inviting for your children and when the time comes to transition you will not find a great deal of difficulty .. :))...See MoreI want to paint my stone fireplace....
Comments (14)I would either make a feature of it and go darker ie a mid grey stone paint. OR I would paint the chimney breast a nice contrasting colour so the fire surround stands out. Much easier to do the latter and change it when you wanted...See Moreclairepatmore
