Comments (10)Hiya, As others have mentioned, a blind or shutter which covers the bottom of the window only, leaving the stained glass to make its own statement could be a really great choice. Lots of people like to put shutters at a bay window as they make a feature of the different facets, and cafe style sit halfway up, allowing you privacy but not covering up your lovely stained glass. We also do something called Trilite Top-Down Bottom-Up Pleated blinds, where tabs mean you can position your blinds anywhere in the window, and even pull them up from the bottom (not just down, as with traditional Pleated blinds). I've attached a picture to show you a little better how these work. It is hard to tell from the pictures whether your window frames are Wooden or uPVC, but in the case of the latter, blinds in PerfectFit frames can also be fitted. This is where they simply clip into your window frame, so each blind perfectly fits the window. You could cover the bottom windows, and leave the stained glass ones undressed and beautiful in their own right. Hope that's given you some inspiration - these pages will explain the blind types in more detail: http://www.hillarys.co.uk/blinds-range/top-down-bottom-up-blinds/ http://www.hillarys.co.uk/shutters-range/cafe-style-shutters/ http://www.hillarys.co.uk/blinds-range/perfectfit-blinds/ Looking forward to seeing how you show off your window, Zoe...See MoreHow to dress this bay window?
Comments (11)Hiya, Bay windows are lovely features, and your suggestion of voiles and curtains could work really well. I think it would be best to have your curtains as dress curtains though, which would stop your radiator from getting eclipsed, and you losing much needed heat.Alternatively, shutters are a lovely look and would provide you with a great deal of privacy. Another suggestion we'd offer for uPVC windows is the idea of PerfectFit blinds. These sit inside a discreet frame, and are available in Pleated, Roller and Venetian blinds for fantastic choice. There's no need for drilling, and they simply clip into each pane of glass via the uPVC frame. I've attached a couple of pictures of bay windows for you to have a look at - or you might like to have a quick peek at our handy video, which has loads more inspiration. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XyAiEA3MGuc Hope that helps, Zoe...See MoreWindow Dressing for a square bay window?
Comments (18)We would say that your best bet is to go with wooden venetians, they come in a huge range of colours and give you that plantation shutter look, but without the bulk or price tag. They can be partly closed in the morning - giving you privacy but also giving you control over the light coming in. With larger slats you can angle the light towards the ceiling or towards the floor. We have a huge range of real wood (or faux wood) blinds to choose from: http://makemyblinds.co.uk/wooden-blinds.html Also if it helps we have a handy guide on how to measure for a square bay like yours: http://makemyblinds.co.uk/blog/how-to-measure-for-a-bay-window/...See Moreminnie101
