Comments (4)Hi. You've got a neutral base so you can really choose what colours you like. I like EB with grape/plum colours as per the first pic. For the wing chair you could look at Designers Guild nabucco fabric shown in 2nd pic and mix it with different shades of purple. The cushions and linen throw are from Oka, I'd team the plum cushion with a plain mustard/chartreuse velvet though and choose plain off white bedding. Are the shutters ordered? If not I'd choose wide slats to allow more light in. For curtains assuming they're not dress curtains I'd keep them light, either a light shade of greige, maybe a linen, or a light amethyst. Id also add a large mirror to bounce a bit more light around. If you don't have table lamps I might look at gold, brass or the mustardy colour...See MoreLiving room soft furnishing

Comments (3)Hi Melanie, Some art prints would really elevate this space and make it yours. You've got a great wall above your dining room that would hang a large print or gallery wall. Have you had a look on sites like Etsy or Society6? They have a lot of fantastic and affordable designs, and you're directly supporting the artist. Comments (20)I've just looked at your old post, wow the room has changed! Re the sofa wall, I would add scandi style art with rounded shapes just to break up the lines of the rug. I wouldn't go for curtains with the radiator personally (which I'd paint in the wall colour) but Roman blinds, I think a horizontal stripe would help with the ceiling height. I'd bring the chair in a little from the door so it doesn't visually look as if it's blocking it. A personal thing but not keen on throws over the back of chairs/sofas, just the arms. I do like your navy throw but wonder if a tasselled one would look good? Scarves are a cheaper option and normally a much better fit. Unless the table is left empty for practical purposes I might add accessories or even just a vase of stems. The only thing I'm less keen on is the gallery wall area, it seems a bit busy as you've already got the frames. I might just go for the hemnes shoe cabinet and add a large plant and then a small one in your brass pot. I think just adding books and plants will help with the accessories...See More
