What Colour for wall paint against grey sofa?
Comments (4)Hello Plymouthlass, You have a good amount of seating in your Living Room, and a nice, neutral grey to work from in the sofa fabric. I’d suggest adding some warmth and interest to the room. Wallpaper would work well; alternatively some eye catching art work would look great along the main wall behind the sofa with painted walls (re-hanging the existing mirror on a side wall). I’d then add a rug under your coffee table and two side tables either side of your small sofa. These side tables would be a great place to locate a pair of table lamps. If you need additional storage in your room, trunks rather than side tables would give you storage and table space. A big difference would be to add a touch of softness and texture to your window by adding a pair of curtains with tiebacks would be ideal. Don’t forget to try and fit your curtain pole near the ceiling as this creates the illusion of a greater ceiling height....See MoreMore dark blue - good or overkill?
Comments (11)Hi Tani. I wouldn't add more blue to the walls. I love the room but would make a few changes depending on budget. I'd add a navy and white patterned throw to the sofa and pick up mustard for cushions with a little grey, white and navy. I'd add a large print over the radiator with something that has a splash of the yellow in, maybe a vintage style travel one would suit the room? If not, there's a great navy and white modern one I've seen ( just need to find it) that would look great. Maybe just a yellow orchid and bowl for the console and cabinet? Agree I would change the curtains to something patterned picking up the colours. I'd also accessorise the coffee table. I think the doors look great, if too orange for you, although look fine in this pic, I'd re-stain. ( sorry, my comments are based on the other post too re warming the room up so the only thing I'd do for resale is change the curtains I think and add a large print over the radiator)...See MoreSnug- all dark blue walls or just one?
Comments (15)Hi colour happy. Yes I don't really like the cream on the walls but it's on the ceiling and on the ceiling (that can be seen through the glass in the next room) so I had to have it in the high wall so I could do the edges using a roller and not scaffolding. Or I would do exactly what you suggest. But I hoped if I have my back to it (sitting on sofa) I won't notice it if I'm surrounded by blue? Yes the tv is going in the blue wall already painted. What do you think? I keep going in to start painting but bottling it!!...See MoreSeeking beautiful lux dark green/blue paint colour for happy life!
Comments (16)Love the ideas and that styling of the bathroom is very nice. Do you happen to know what Mylands colour that is? Slightly regretting having a dark floor tile now when I see that white floor and the colour on the walls. Do you think I would be making the room too dark if I have both the dark green/blue floor tile and a rich dark green blue on the wall? I agree that the Dulux Teal colours look great! Really 'of the moment' too that colur....See MoreKathy Hanson Interiors
