Comments (113)Both, one for our bedroom and one for the outside. In the bedroom, I had the chimney breast 'destroyed' to make space for a long, slim one (should've been like under the painting). Then the carpenter made a mess with the drawers unit and we fired him and left it unfinished, looked for another carpenter (long story) - however, in the meanwhile, Andrew's changed his mind and doesn't want the bio-ethanol fireplace at all. Outside, I wanted it where the star and birdie is... would've looked fab......See MorePOLL: How do you store your bike?
Comments (18)I won a bike in a competition just before Christmas ,but due to a knee problem I'm unable to ride this beautiful prize . I knocked down my shed last summer due to its age so now have nowhere to store my bike . It's in the hall , has to be negotiated around , I'm reluctant to sell it as I want to ride it !! I live in a terrace so back access is complicated and due to the knee problem I can't haul it up the front steps !! New house needed .... for me and my bikey !...See MoreMy raised terrace or balcony dilemma. Connecting house to the garden
Comments (42)Hi original poster! I know it’s 7 years since you asked this but would love to know what you did. We are not in a similar position with a similar looking house at the back but even steeper. I know that a full extension and lowering the internal floors would be ideal but we can’t afford that and need a 5-7 year fix. Please let us know what you decided and why ☺️...See MoreFront garden, Victorian terrace
Comments (39)Thanks all. Resh, it’s a south facing garden. They all worked well bar a few alliums I planted which have never bloomed and the snowdrops come up rather poorly. The different geraniums and roses and lavender have all taken really well. I fear the lavender will get very Woody quickly but I chopped them back quite significantly and they look fine so far. I also planed pansies but the geraniums grew over them this year. Good luck!...See MoreTrazza B
