This beachfront Edwardian property had been untouched for years. The new owners bought this as a second home for large social gatherings and a potential holiday rental. We connected the ground floor spaces and added a rear extension to create a large sociable kitchen/ dining area. We also created places to retreat to when the house is full - a cosy snug was created re-using characterful original folding doors and by adding a wood burning stove. The period charm was enhanced with modern facilities brought harmoniously together with a natural and textural material palette befitting of its coastal location.
