Our clients had an untidy corner of the garden that they wanted to enhance. Previously used for storing prunings from the garden, they wanted to create a secluded seating area where they could appreciate the beautiful curved walls and enjoy a barbeque and a glass of wine on summer’s evenings.

The design included the creation of a sunken firepit area that could, if needed, be used to burn prunings, and a curved bench to echo the walls. A gravel path leads to the rest of the garden.

Planting is restrained and elegant, designed for year round interest. A vertical wall made from european oak sleepers is used to retain soil.
