This family had a large downstairs toilet where the washing machine was stored. They equally had a huge space under the stairs that was previously being used for coat storage. They asked me to help reconfigure the space to maximise functionality while maintaining the aesthetics of the house. My design solution was to build a washer/dryer cupboard under the stairs, in keeping with the original stair case design, as well as some coat, shoe and washing product storage under the stairs themselves. The toilet could then be redesigned to bring it up to date and tidy the space up.
