The project is an interior refurbishment with a full width single-storey rear extension of a 3 storey semi-detached house in Woodford Broadway Conservation Area. Our main concept was to establish a strong connection between the interior and exterior through thick threshold by opening the façade towards the rear garden. Materials such as Pigmento Zinc, concrete, and slate were used on the extension and within the existing house to make a contemporary yet complimentary intervention against the red Edwardian traditional brick on the front facade and the interior architectural features.
